At Free-Counter.com, you can begin tracking your site's visitors within minutes. All you're required to do is copy and paste a small snippet of HTML code into your pages. Here, you'll also find counters with Chinese, Japanese and Arabic numerals.

• ExpertCounter.com - A free Web site tracker service that allows Webmasters to determine the number of visitors a site is generating, and much more besides. ExpertCounter.com offers password protected statistics and allows you to gather important visitor information, such as unique visitors, page loads, referrals, search keywords, countries, etc. You may select from either a visible of invisible counter for your page.

• Webcounter.ws - A free tracker service, presenting detailed statistics in a graphical form on pie and bar charts. The counter allows you to track total visitors each day, referring domains, search engine keywords, the operating system, browser and also visitor location. This site provides example reports so you can view the admin area before you register for an account. Password protected statistics are now available at Webcounter.ws. 

• AddFreeStats - A popular free tracker service that's amongst the best on the Web. If you want too much visitor information to handle, then AddFreeStats will be right up your street. They offer real-time statistics, and track daily hits, unique visitors, referrers, search engines, system info, visitor countries, etc. Using this service, you can also password protect your stats. You are required to place small button image on all the pages you wish to monitor.
  > Whilst AddFreeStats logs an impressive amount of information on site visitors, accessing the administration area can be tedious due to the longwinded log-in process and amount of pop-up advertisements.
  > Some members have reported occasional glitches when attempting to view stats from previous days. Accessing historical statistical information, particularly from the previous day, can result in a "zero" traffic report. 

• Counted! - Counted! provides in-depth statistics about your Web site's visitors and monitors all kinds of information, including daily visits, referring domains and URLs, search engine keywords, browser type, operating system, etc. You may choose one of 16 small button images to be displayed on your site (all are 88x31 pixels), but no obtrusive advertisements are displayed. • RiteCounter - A completely free and user friendly counter service that allows you to track the number of visitors to your Web site/ RiteCounter provides an invisible counter, with no annoying banner adverts, and monitors daily visitors, referring sites, search engine keywords, visitor countries, browser types, etc. However, there is one drawback: sites must not exceed 6000 page loads per day (enough for small, low traffic pages).

Ace Counters includes over 50 counter designs that you can select and then implement on your page. To begin tracking, simply include a small snippet of HTML code into your page, then the digits will appear and change every time a new visitor is logged.

• Blog Stat Counter - A straight-forward free counter service that's ideal for logging the number of visitors to your site. Blog Stat Counter does not perform any fancy functions like similar services, but on the other hand is a reliable and visually appealing method to count visitors. This service is ad-supported via a small, non-obtrusive advertisement.

• Tracksy - A free counter service that's ideal for owners of small sites who wish to monitor traffic levels. Tracksy is completely free provided your site doesn't exceed 25,000 page views per month. There are two counters available here: an invisible counter and a "classic" counter. Features include the tracking of referrers, page views, unique visitors, browser type, operating system, etc.

• CQ Counter - A free hit counter service that will track all kinds of Web page visitor information. By using CQ Counter, you can log the total number of visitors to your site, see which search engines draw in the most traffic and also what operating system and browser your visitors use. Besides, it's easy to install and includes many features. The service is restricted to 50,000 page views per month.

• TrafficFile.com - TrafficFile's "bronze" service is completely free and offers a reliable tracker that counts unique visitor totals for the last seven days. It is also invisible and fast-loading, which makes a refreshing change from the many free counter services that require you to place their advertisement on your pages. You'll also find some commercial packages here, should you wish to upgrade.

LinkCounter "free" is limited to 200 clicks.

• StatSession - Here's a completely free counter and tracker service, perfect for logging how many visitors have been to your Web site. StatSession provides a range of useful statistics, including search engine reporting, general referrer information, system information (e.g. operating system, Web browser, etc.) and country of origin. Invisible trackers with no logo are available here.

• StatsMachine - An easy to install text or graphic counter with no advertisements or logos. Unlike other free counters and trackers listed in this section, the StatsMachine free counter does not collect any personal information from you (since there is no registration process). When you load up the page, the required snippet of HTML code is displayed for you to instantly integrate.

• Site Meter - Here's an established free tracker service. Site Meter allows you to choose from a variety of different counter styles, such as classic numbers, a small button or an animated image. We've found the interface of this tracker to be somewhat cumbersome, but haven't found any major faults with the quality of its tracking ability. The code is very simple to implement and loads quickly.

• Sparklit Counter - Amongst other free Webmaster services, Sparklit.com offers a reliable and fully functional free hit counter. They provide over 100 counter styles to choose from, however, don't provide any detailed statistical information. You'll find this tracker professional and very easy to install on your site. If you get stuck or need more information, go to their free support forum.

• Easy Counter - Offers several free Web page counter services that are free for personal use. These counters will make it easy for you to track hits on individual pages. You can even cheat the number of visitors so it looks like you have a high traffic site, however, sites containing adult or other inappropriate material will have their account(s) locked and possibly deleted.

• Cyber Count - Cyber Count will place a free hit counter on your Web site (this is provided you place their banner on your page). They also offer in-depth real-time statistics. One of the best features of this counter is you can track all of your Web site pages with one piece of code since the service will spider your site. Note: If you don't display their banner on your page they will suspend your counter.

• Lodgy.com - A high quality and feature-rich free counter service that tracks visitor information by the bucket load. Lodgy.com allows you to monitor your site in real-time, and tracks: daily visitors, referrers, the phrases used on search engines to find your site, entry and exit pages, most popular pages, countries, browsers, operating systems and more. They also also provide a free invisible counter and support global time zones.
