If you would like to suggest a site for inclusion in this category, or if you find an outdated link, please contact us. Just follow the links at the top of this page.

  • Funny.co.uk - "The UK's Premier Comedy Site" has an excellent design and is loaded with free jokes to read online plus links to other humourous Web sites. Funny.co.uk is updated frequently and visitors can add their own jokes or rate those currently being displayed. As well as providing a cocktail of humor, Funny.co.uk features an online forum where users can chat or debate issues.

  • Funny Ville - An easy to navigate Web site that offers clean and funny content in the form of jokes, pictures, sounds, commercial video clips, Flash animations and more. Each page on the Funny Ville site includes a voting bar where visitors can cast their vote to ensure the funniest items are constantly available for all to enjoy. Their section devoted to pictures is particularly funny.

  • Aha! Jokes - A superb, family friendly free jokes Web site, featuring jokes in various categories. One liners, office jokes, political jokes, kids jokes, gender jokes, bar jokes and more can be found here. To top this off, Aha! Jokes also serves up funny pictures by category and even includes funny videos and audio. As well as this, they also include a regular poll so you can cast your opinion.

  • Yahooligans! Jokes - A fine free jokes site from Yahoo!'s younger brother, Yahooligans! This site primarily targets children, although adults will likely find the jokes entertaining as well. Yahooligans! separates their jokes into categories, which include: Animals, People, Music, Sports,  Science and Nature, People, Weird and Wacky, etc. They'd also appreciate any jokes that you can suggest to them.

  • Mefco's Random Joke Server - Here, you'll find a large database of free, random jokes in many categories. You simply select a topic, then read the jokes that appear under that subject matter. Cycling through the jokes is very easy and can be done by using their "next joke" link. Short funny stories are also included here by title and they host a free, opt-in jokes mailing list for all visitors.

  • Windows Splash Screens - We have all seen the Windows splash screen as a PC boots up, but how many of you know how to change one? Knowledgebase has a good collection of humorous and witty splash screens including "Windows On Drugs" and "I crash, therefore IMac". One of our favourites is "We are Microsoft, resistant is futile". Read all about the techniques involved here.

  • Down Hoax Fake Download - This program will scare the pants off your friends. Down Hoax simulates the download process on a computer. Inexperienced computer users who run this program will think that they're downloading files from an adult Web site. It isn't true though. After the simulated download has finished, the program announces itself with a "fooled you!" message box.

  • Funny.com - Here's one of the few Web sites on the Internet that tracks which jokes you've read.  Becoming a member of Funny.com is completely free (and well worth it). They feature hundreds of jokes, all of which can be browsed though using an online search engine. Here, you'll also find some interesting online comics and a "league" of the funniest jokes, all rated by Funny.com's visitors.

  • Fake Format - "Fake Format" pretends to format your hard disk. We've tried this out on some unsuspecting soul and got excellent results, but we won't go into that. Fake Format also simulates the sound of your hard disk to add extra realism. With such a small file size, this program is a highly recommended download. It will function on most Windows machines (including NT Workstation).

  • Comedy Central Jokes - At this site, you're bound to find the perfect joke for any occasion. Comedy Central has jokes on all kinds of topics, including those featuring lawyers, sports, rednecks, college, animals, technology, etc. If you've found a particularly funny joke that you'd like to share, this site has a neat feature where you can submit a joke for inclusion.

  • Fake Delete - Here's another fine "RJL Software" program. Fake Delete simulates the deletion of the C:/Windows directory. It looks very realistic and best of all, since the only way to stop it is by using "Ctrl, Alt + Delete", inexperienced users will result to turning off at the power or shouting for help. We've found it works best on stand alone computers, as their hard disk is usually "C:/".

  • Open/Close CD - A simple program that opens the CD-ROM drive when activated. It works best when a shortcut is made to a popular program, e.g. Microsoft Word. When a user clicks on the shortcut, Open CD-ROM will activate and the CD drive will open. Don't be too excessive though. Eventually CD drives can break or malfunction because of this program being used repetitively.

  • Click Me! - Here's yet another free prank program for our mischievous visitors. Click Me! displays a "click me" button on the computer screen. When the victim tries to click on the "click me" button, it will move to another place on the screen. Pressing "Ctrl Alt + Del" will end the task on Windows based machines. The Click Me! program can be very annoying if you're an inexperienced user.
