Easynote - This freeware program allows you to place
virtual sticky notes around your computer desktop to use as reminders.
Not only is this a novel and modern way to organise yourself, it also
saves on buying new sticky label pads and using all that paper. TK8
Easynote allows users to change the size and position of every note
and then set different priorities to them. The program will even alert
you when particular tasks need to be completed.

Opera
- A fun, free and powerful Web browser application with a plethora
of integrated features. Opera includes an e-mail and newsgroup client,
file transfer manager, tabbed browsing, pop-up blocker, integrated
search, keyboard shortcuts, BitTorrent support and also integrated
IRC (Internet Relay Chat). In addition, the browser can be customised
by arranging the toolbars, icons and layout, or via a variety of different
skins which are available online.

Manager - This handy little program downloads in next
to no time and attaches itself to Internet Explorer versions 5 and
6. When a pop-up window is discovered, Popup Manager will leap into
action and block the advert, then notify you via a small image. Afterwards,
you are able to view information about the blocked pop-up. Note: donations

WaterAid Program - It is said
that most people drink too few glasses of water each day. This unique
freeware application from WaterAid (a water charity) will remind you
to drink more water on a daily basis. Once installed, the application
sits in the background and springs into action with an alert message

EasyTerm
- A basic Telnet terminal application that's ideal for beginners.
EasyTerm supports a number of different protocols besides Telnet,
such as SMTP and POP3 (for e-mail communications). Sessions using
the terminal window can be saved for future reference using a log
file and EasyTerm also supports ANSI colours on its display. The program
is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows.

been considering alternatives for Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web

Acrobat - A widely used program, ideal for distributing
DTP documents over the Internet, or for compacting reviews, reports,
etc. into an easy-to-read computer format. For another person to read
the work you have created, they also must have the program that reads
PDF files. This can be downloaded in Windows and Macintosh versions,
as can updates and official Adobe patches.

- A thoroughly fantastic open-source Web browser, incorporating an
integrated e-mail program, Web building tool, address book and IRC
chat client. Mozilla (what the popular "Netscape" browser
is based on), allows you to open multiple sites in one window by using
tabs. It also has a useful pop-up blocker and managers for passwords,
cookies, forms and images.
